Boat Donor Program

Started in 2004, the Boat Donor Program enables individuals to support the Mathews Maritime Foundation by donating and purchasing donated boats. Boat donors can claim a tax deduction based on the boat’s sale amount collected by the Foundation.

If you wish to donate a boat, complete and mail our BOAT DONOR FORM we will contact you to arrange transfer of the vessel. You may also contact Dave at (804) 815-4367 or Pete at (804) 693-9335, or via email at boats@mathewsmaritime.com.

The following donated boats are available for purchase, at a below market price. All boats are sold as is where is, and prices quoted are negotiable.

1986 Hunter 23, wing keel, very nice condition, new sail cover, new companionway cover, new 6 hp Yamaha, recent diver cleaned, $3,995.

Rebel, 16 foot sailboat, complete including trailer, $1500.

1980 15 foot Cat boat, built by Squadron Yachts of Bristol, R.I., sail cover, complete boat cover, gaf rig sail, outboard motor, beautiful boat, on trailer, $2400.

1981 24 foot, Fenwick Williams, gaff yawl, mahogany hull, full keel, 9,000 pound displacement, Saab Diesel, $7500.

1998 Chaparral, Sunesta, 232, 23 foot deck boat, bimini, recovered seats, needs engine work, come check it out, without the trailer, $1500.

1960 Pearson, 28, nice sails, new cushions, hauled out, bottom cleaned. Ready for bottom paint, Atomic 4 engine, rebuilt several years ago. $4500.

1977 Arrowglass, Tarpon, 50 hp Mercury 4 stroke, on trailer, $4500.
